Teaching Methodology

St. Lawrence College provides very conducive learning environment that emphasizes on the functional interactions and interrelatedness so that they can explore themselves beyond textbooks. Students are always encouraged to participate in group discussions and case studies. Ample project work is assigned to them besides regular class-works, assignments. They make presentations in the class individually and in group. What activities we do at St. Lawrence is based on “PUTTING STUDENTS FIRST”. so the students here can have a solid foundation in critical skills of thinking, communicating and problem solving.

“Innovative student centered teaching techniques”, is applied as a teaching methodology. In addition to the formal class, workshops, seminars and talk programs are held frequently on various emerging subjects and issues. Use of multimedia, interactions with teachers, students, administration and parents are held time and again that creates conducive learning environment and blossom their creative potentialities.

Results and Achievements

St. Lawrence College is serving the nation since last seventeen years. It has produced pilots, doctors, engineers, lawyers, leaders, social workers, entrepreneurs and artists for the nation. Academic result at St. Lawrence is really outstanding. Our students are continuously securing about 100% result in Board Examination in all streams in an average for last seven years.

In the higher secondary level, we secured 96% aggregate Board result in the year 2014 (2071 B.S.) and 2013 (2070 B.S.), 99.24% aggregate Board result in the year 2012 (2069 B.S.), and nearly the same success was achieved in the year 2011 (2068 B.S.) i.e. 99.74% and in the year 2010 (2067 B.S.) 99.62% in an average in all streams of higher secondary level.

In the under graduate level, students of Management (BBS) & Humanities (BA) are achieving about 80% result in an aggregate in the University examination. Students of B.Sc. CSIT stream at St. Lawrence College are very extraordinary and multi-talented. They are giving excellent results in all semesters.

St. Lawrence College got the following success in the earlier academic years under different streams:

We are well known college in Nepal for academic excellence and well discipline. We have ranked HSEB board second in management stream in the year 2010 (2067 B.S.) and HSEB board first in the same stream in the year 2011 (2068 B.S.). In the science stream, we have ranked HSEB board second in the years 2014, 2013, 2010 (2071, 2070, 2068 B.S.). Our students are the extraordinary blend of diverse culture, who come from the entire country. They always give us outstanding results in all board examinations, either in HSEB or in T.U.
