Basic Level Education (BLE) is typically the first stage of formal education, coming after preschool and before secondary school. At this level, students will get opportunities to: acquire literacy, numeracy, creativity and communication skills; enjoy learning and develop desire to continue learning. Our main focus will be to make children able to develop their social, cognitive, cultural, emotional and physical skills according to the best of their abilities with moral sentiment and positive outlook.
With blended course design of Basic Level, our aim is to provide fundamental skills in reading, writing and mathematics and to establish a solid foundation for learning. Basic Level Examination (BLE) is given on grade eight.
Learning for life
Primary education - it’s not just their first words/sentences they learn in primary, it’s their first introduction to the world, their own culture and interests. Today’s world is not one where we just spoon feed our children with books, but it is one where we teach our children decision making, creative thinking and respect for their culture as well. We here in St. Lawrence, nurture our students in an environment ideal for self-learning, focusing on student’s need, interests and potentialities so that they become pensive individuals with a love of learning.
